Pohokura Depletion Compression Civil Works

Site works in both Greenfield and Brownfield environments with all work conducted under permit to work and strict health, safety and environmental controls.   

Construction of:   

·        AOC and stormwater drainage system.   

·        Excavations for foundations and structures.   

·        Cable and duct trenches.   

·        Earthworks and reinstatement for the cable trench.   

Major foundations and structures including:   

·        Precast substation building   

·        Precast cable pulling pit   

·        Earthing pit   

·        Cooler and Compressor foundations   

·        Pipe rack foundations, ground beams and plinths   

·        Drainage slabs   

·        Reid bar anchors to piles   

·        Wricon earthing   

·        Grouting   

Key deliverables of the above projects included excellent health, safety and environmental performance, budget control and adherence to programme.   The contract mechanism required active engagement of all parties to deliver the project outcomes with leadership support and participation.  Whitaker Civil provided civil cost estimates and cost engineering, design input, technical advice, HAZOP and constructability reviews.
